Welcome to the National Oncology Congress

Dear colleagues and friends,

It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to the 22nd National Oncology Congress, which will take place on November 26, 27, and 28, 2025, at the Forum Braga, in the beautiful city of Braga.

After a 2024 Congress marked by the collective desire of Moving Forward, in 2025 we challenge the oncology community to go BEYOND LIMITS. This is more than just a theme: it is a call to action. A call to constantly overcome the scientific, clinical, social, and human barriers that still stand in the fight against cancer.

Over the course of three days, we will have the opportunity to explore the latest advances in oncology research and care, to debate the major challenges of clinical practice, and to reflect on the transformative role oncology can play in society. We will bring together specialists from different fields, professions, and generations, united by the common goal of raising the standards of oncology in Portugal.

This Congress will also be a stage to strengthen the bonds that unite the national oncology community — doctors, nurses, pharmacists, researchers, managers, and many other professionals who, together, make a difference in the lives of our patients.

The Portuguese Society of Oncology will continue to promote innovation, continuous education, multidisciplinary collaboration, and strategic thinking. And it will continue to affirm itself as an active voice in building a fairer, better-prepared, and more human healthcare system.

I invite you to take an active part in this Congress. Share experiences, ask questions, be inspired. Because only together — and with the courage to go beyond limits — can we transform oncology and create hope where it is most needed.
