PROFILE

He holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Aveiro, in collaboration with the University of Guelph. A researcher at IPO Porto, he is a specialist in cancer glycobiology and leads translational research projects focused on the discovery of novel molecular targets using multi-omics approaches. He has developed vaccines and therapies targeting the tumor glycocalyx and is the CEO and co-founder of the startup GlycoMatters. He is the author of numerous publications and patents in the fields of biomarkers and cancer therapy.
