Sandra Casimiro holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from Universidade de Lisboa and is an Assistant Researcher at GIMM and Assistant Professor of Oncobiology at Lisbon Medical School. Her main research line focuses on the biology and therapeutic potential of the RANK pathway in breast cancer. Her work has led to significant discoveries with therapeutic impact in breast cancer, and has been recognized with prestigious awards and grants such as multiple FCT and LPCC grants, the Pfizer Global Medical Grant for Metastatic Breast Cancer and the Gilead Génesis award. With over 50 peer-reviewed publications and an h-index of 19, she also actively mentors students, and collaborates with academia and industry.
