    Noelia Tarazona Llavero

  • Biography

    Noelia Tarazona is a medical oncologist at Hospital Clínico Universitario de Valencia. After completing her residency, she was awarded an ESMO fellowship at the Institute of Cancer Research in London, where she specialized in translational research and liquid biopsy, with a focus on minimal residual disease and tumor genotyping. Her doctoral thesis on biomarkers for localized colon cancer received the Extraordinary Doctorate Award in 2022. She has combined clinical care in gastrointestinal oncology with laboratory research through Río Hortega and Joan Rodés grants, and has been actively involved in national collaborative efforts such as the CIBERONC Liquid Biopsy Working Group. She completed the CNIO Master in Molecular Oncology and further specialized in immunology at the University of Navarra. In 2018, she was selected for the ESMO Leaders Generation Programme. Currently, she is undertaking a fellowship at the Mass General Brigham Cancer Center in Boston, contributing to the implementation of liquid biopsy in the U.S., while leading competitive research projects funded by SEOM, ISCIII, TTD, AECC, and Fundación Mutua Madrileña.
