EDUCATIONAL GRANTS REGULATIONS

21st National Oncology Congress – Coimbra – 13-15 November 2024


1. Applications will be accepted from residents and young specialists (< 40 years old) in the fields of Medical Oncology, Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Imaging, and Pathology.

2. The 3 (three) educational grants SPO for the 21st National Oncology Congress cover the costs of participation in the Congress, including registration fees and accommodation for the three days.

3. Applications must be submitted via email to cno.trabalhos@sponcologia.pt with the subject: Educational Grant Application for the 21st National Oncology Congress. The candidate should identify themselves, specifying their area of expertise, year of training, place of work, and include a motivation letter explaining why they deserve the Grant.

4. The title of the abstracts submitted to the Congress must be sent along with this email.

5. Candidates will be ranked based on: the number of abstracts submitted and accepted to the Congress, with preference given to oral presentations vs. posters, and the year of training, with higher consideration for residents in more advanced years of training.

6. Applications will be automatically rejected if the abstracts are not accepted by the Abstract Evaluation Committee

7. Applications will be open from 23 to 30 September 2024, and candidates will be informed of the decision on 23 October 2024.
